Our LeviCell® 1.0 system has reached a new pinnacle in cell isolation and enrichment by adding our newest product line— the LeviSelect (TM) Enrichment and Depletion Kits.

The LeviSelect™ Kits build on the Levitation Technology™ found in the LeviCell platform by enriching for specific cell types of interest and maintain them as untouched, while simultaneously depleting unwanted cells. As with every LeviCell run, removal of debris, dead or dying cells happens concurrently.

LeviSelect Kits

LeviSelect Depletion and Enrichment Kits provide a fast and efficient method to deplete a specific cell type away from a mixture of cells or remove several unwanted cell populations to enrich for a viable specific cells of interest (negative selection). In both kit types, the cells of interest remain label-free, ensuring cells are not perturbed.

Obtain gentle enrichment of viable cell-specific populations, which remain untouched while all unwanted populations stay within the LeviCell cartridge. Achieve cell-specific enrichment with dying or dead cell removal—plus removal of debris —in a single 20-minute run.

LeviSelect Immune Kits support cell-specific of the immune subpopulations required for downstream cell analysis or further subsetting. You can enrich hematopoietic populations quickly without lengthy workflows or potential cell activation.

For oncology or immuno-oncology research, the LeviSelect CD45 Depletion Kits provide a highly effective method for enriching pure tumor cells enabling characterization for drug discovery and biomarker identification. Human or mouse CD45+ cells are depleted from a mixture of cells in parallel with viable cell enrichment on the LeviCell system. CD45+ cells are retained in the LeviCell cartridge, while CD45- cells of interest remain label-free and are collected for further downstream analysis.

How it works

 

LeviSelect Kits combine the power of Levitation Technology with target specific enrichment of cell subtypes. Viable and cell-specific enrichment are performed simultaneously on the LeviCell systems. By combining the natural density and magnetic susceptibility of cells within a paramagnetic compound with the addition of antibodies conjugated to nanospheres of different densities, cells can levitate at different heights. This process allows the separation of specific cells of interest from unwanted cells during a single LeviCell run.

Identifying and enriching cells of interest from mixed cell populations is fundamental to studying disease models and basic cell biology. Levitation Technology provides the gentlest cell enrichment method, preserving target-specific cells of interest unbiasedly.

LeviSelect workflow

 

Enabling cell-specific enrichment on the LeviCell systems is as easy as viable cell enrichment. Prepare your sample by adding Levitation Agent and LeviSelect reagents. After pre-inserting the cartridge into the instrument, load the sample to enrich for cells of interest. Collect viable cell for downstream applications.

PREPARE SAMPLE

Sample is resuspended.

ADD LEVISELECT REAGENTS & LEVITATION AGENT 

Magnetic nano spheres are added and incubated. Levitation Agent is added.

SAMPLE ENRICHMENTS

Sample is loaded into the cartridge. Targeted viable cell enrichment occurs in the LeviCell system.

SAMPLE COLLECTION

Untouched target specific cells are collected and ready to use for downstream steps and workflows.

Figure 1. Three tissues (perfused brain, liver, lung) were harvested from 24 hour old mouse and dissociated using LeviPrep Mouse Tissue Dissociation Kit. Cold dissociation protocol ensures viability and cell health is maintained. Cells were subsequently run on the LeviCell system to further improve viability.
