Levitating Cells to Sort the Fit and the Fat

A peer-reviewed study shows how magnetic levitation can sort cells of the same type by small differences in density, which largely reflect their lipid content. Label-free, density-based sorting like this opens the door to multi-omics and regenerative medicine applications where preserving native cell states matters.
